OUR PHILOSOPHY
We believe charitable behavior helps not only the recipients, but the donors as well. The positive and enduring feelings we experience when we help others are physical and emotional by-products created by charitable behavior. We attribute these good feelings to ‘charity generated endorphins’.
Just like our bodies need physical exercise to perform at their peak, our souls need philanthropy. Being charitable and helping others makes our hearts happy. People experience positive feelings when we help others in some way which has created the H.E.R.O., ‘Hands Eagerly Reach Out’ movement. Fulfill Your Destiny is seeking the support of donors and community partners. When we’re asked to give our all, a typical expression is to give 110%. Respecting this time-honored adage, Karen Mertes, our founder and president will personally donate an additional 10% on top of any donation made to Fulfill Your Destiny, making a donor’s or community partner’s effective donation 110%.
