Author Pat Stanford was the recipient of the $1000 Fulfill Your Destiny Business Builder Grant on Sept 19, 2020 at the On Point Executive Center Book Fair hosted at Westshore Plaza.
Ms. Stanford’s early beginnings as an author started at just 10 years old, when she fell in love with writing poetry and the beginnings of novels. It was always a dream of hers to pursue writing, but as life would have it, this dream was pushed aside for many years. When an opportunity arose, Pat jumped at the chance to pursue her dream, and published her first book of poetry in 2018. She also published 14 original poems in Poetry for the Love of It, Anthology 3 in 2020. Since then, Pat has gone on to publish an additional book of poetry, in addition to her Amazon Best Seller, “Fixing Boo-Boo” a story about Traumatic Brain Injury.
When she isn’t participating in local Book Fairs and Festivals, Pat spends time giving back to her community by volunteering at Walks and raising awareness for a Brain Injury Support Group in Tallahassee. With this grant, Pat hopes to expand her audience through advertising in magazines and other areas that have not yet read her books. We are so pleased to honor this fellow Veteran, and look forward to seeing her Fulfill her Destiny!
